I hope your having a great Imbolic or Groundhog's Day if you prefer!

Bri had classes today and then came home fired up about science. She checked on her egg experiment from yesterday(one in water and one in vinegar). She giggled with delight to see the one in water had expanded beyond it's shell. After that we looked at A Drop of Water by Walter Wick. She decided to try out "Molecules in Motion" Using a drop of food coloring in a jar of still water she was able to watch as the water spread throughout.

I made homemade chicken strips and fries for dinner. They were alright but Bri was still hungry afterwards...she must be growing again.

I had copied an excert from the Mother Earth Book on Imbolic and so I had her read it and look at some of the recommended celebration ideas. She was egar to have candles out so I obliged.
We gathered our candles and lit them. For me it was in honor of the earths light. I think Bri was doing something from one of her books about meditation and future foretelling. Either way it was very nice and symbolic for us both.

Now she is off getting ready for bed and I am getting ready to join a raid with my husband. Three evenings a week after family time he and I run raids with our World of Warcraft Guild. It is good to have something to do with him that is all about him=D So I am off to play. Hopefully I will be sleeping tonight but if I am once again unable I will tell you about some of the sites I found today on Pond Ecology for Bri's science class.
